Summer 2024 Dates: June 19th – August 18th

Located in Palmer Massachusetts, Camp Ramah in New England provides innovative and nurturing summer camp programs for campers in grades 2-10. Integrating the fun of summer camp with meaningful content.

Position Purpose: An early childhood educator working in the​ gan (pre-camper age program) to provide age-appropriate recreational and educational programming for a small group of children between the ages of infant and 7 whose parents work in the summer camp setting.

Essential Job Functions:

· Provide engaging, safe and age-appropriate experience for gan campers

· Maintain consistent level of supervision

· Serve meals and snacks as appropriate

· Assists with hygienic needs. Includes diaper changes and bathroom assistance

· Communicate with Gan Supervisor and/or Parent regularly with updates or challenges with campers

· Evening, Night, and Early Morning Babysitting as required and assigned

· Participate enthusiastically in all camp activities, planning, and leading those as assigned.

Equipment Used: Toys, paper, books, games, crafts, diapers, bottles, snacks

Qualifications:

Must be 17 years of age or older

Ability to interact with children of all age levels

Must be able to pass a background check as required by the state of Massachusetts

Creativity, Compassion, Patience and Understanding with regards to working with young children

Physical Aspects of the Position:

Ability to work long hours, including standing and/or sitting

Ability to work independently to complete tasks including during non-traditional hours

Job Types: Contract, Seasonal

Pay: $1,800.00 - $2,500.00 per month

Shift:

• 10 hour shift

Supplemental schedule:

• Nights as needed

• Palmer, MA 01069: Relocate before starting work (Required)
